At heart, I am a storyteller.
I had a mentor once describe journalism as a teacher to millions. It was a sentiment that held in my heart and it is a mission I have worked for ever since. As a network news producer, I told hundreds of stories every morning on national television. It was a goal of mine to listen to someone’s lived experience - whether it was their passion, tragedy, triumph, ground breaking discovery, or simply their struggle to be heard in this life - and break down the complexities of that experience to create a story that millions would watch, stop, and learn from. If only for 3 minutes of their morning.
A news producer is a catch all. I was a researcher, a writer, a shooter, a project manager, a barista, a driver, a travel agent, a conflict negotiator, and more. I have taken the skills I learned over 12 years and use them to help clients tell their own stories.
